A notorious deputy marshal who lives on the outside of society is Gao Bing Zhu. He must prove his innocence after being accused of a crime. While doing his investigation, he encounters Baili Hong Yi, a young man who is looking for answers regarding the cause of his father's passing. To unravel both riddles, they work together. An accomplished martial artist from a wealthy family who also has strong survival instincts is on her own mission. She approaches Gao Bing Zhu in an effort to get information from him. They loathe one other because of their irritating class distinctions.
